Mini Review
Pro: Pretty character designs and animation, soothing music
Con: Get your tissues ready, too over dramatized at times

Final Thoughts: Old Yeller, My Dog Skip, Impossible, and the Notebook do not hold a candle to this festival of tears with tissue confetti. Ok look, sad emoitonal griping stories are something I welcome in my anime. Because at least it proves that this fictional looking art form was successfully able to transport me into its world and characters enough to make me think they are real. So much infact that it causes changes in my temporment while watching. However at the end of the day I want to be entertained and inspired. I want a big smile on my face and to escape the trials and hardships of my reality. I want something to cheer me up so to speak. With that in mind I cannot go up to my friends and be like: OMG lets watch Anohana together because I am basically asking them to cry for a good straight hour or two. The character designs and sweetness the show provides cannot be deined, but there are several slight overdramatic and somewhat distrubing character interactions that are a little skechy even for my taste. In terms of a definte sad anime to watch I admit I will stear towards this one more than Clannad or Golden Time, but that is not saying much. Its kind of hard to say I like this show when snot and tears are running down my face. (They are not happy tears either) I was never a fan of melodramas and this one reminded me of why. I understand why people like it, but for me its just another excuse to cry.
Final Score: 2 stars
Reccomendations:
Kobato/Hyouka/Clannad
