Pro: Animation, Music, worthy of most of its praise
Con: pacing issues, screaming, suffers from some shoenen tropes, people die...a lot
Final Thoughts: Attack on Titan is good. So no matter how my personal tastes may affect the final score I encouage everyone to at least check this on out and draw your own conclusions. Do not feel the need to put this up in your top 5 or even 10 anime either because there is not such thing as a perfect anime. Most of the praise given to the series is worhty and I have no probelm walking into a store and seeing merchanidse for this show either. HOWEVER, I would like to compare this as the anime version of the walking dead as in chracters die...a lot. I will never understand our society's obession for finding different ways to kill off humanity for entertainment but if you are into that kind of thing by all means given this one a try.
Story: Not going to get into this too much because of the several time skips as well as plot twits that happen througohut the series. Almost every chapter/episode ends at a cliffhanger which will leave you watching this series rather quick. The pacing is like a stop and go roller coaster which is not exactly fun all the way through.
Characters: Good for the most part just do not get too attached to them becasue they may end up dying. I know sounds fun right. I get that this is a life or death scenario and all but there should be more of a reason than that for choosing to kill someone. We get it, they can die at any moment but that does not mean they should.
Art: Whenever they are in their attack suits and fying throujgh the air is a definate highlight. So much talent and passion is put into the fight scequences alothough some the titans come across more comedic than threattening. Overall though it looks awesome I love the thick outlines on all the characters.
Sound: Its sounds as it look in other words awesome. The first opening theme is epic on so many levels.
