Pro: Characters, Story, Best Romantic Comedy to come out in the past few years, opening theme is pure bliss, gorgeous art style and character designs
Con: The anime adaptation is way too short and fast paced
Final Thoughts: Why are you here reading this? You should be watching/reading Yamada instead! Alright fine I really like this series. It’s far more intelligent and engaging than many romantic comedies coming out today. All of the romantic relationships are treated with respect. All the characters are extremely likable. I'd advise you all to read the manga, watch the anime, and watch the live action version if you do not believe me. God thank you for creating Miki Yoshikawa. She is able to make all my dreams come true.
Story: The class punk Yamada Ryuu accidently trips on class honor student Shiraishi Urara. During the fall it turns out they kissed and somehow switched bodies. Turns out there are other witches at the school (a total of 7) who also have mysterious powers. It is up to Yamada and the newly formed Supernatural Studies club to uncover the witches and discover their secrets while falling in love and having fun of course.
Characters: Too many great ones to name, they are all memorable. Shirashi is by far the most appreciated because she is a no nonsense smart girl who is also a cute girly girl at heart. Yamada is a totally relatable punk kid with a good heart. The rest of the characters are all good hearted but some go to more desperate means to achieve their goals. So yeah a shoenen series with no actual bad guy. Just teenager being typical teenagers in a fantasy rom com scenario.
Art: The art in the manga is simply to die for but the anime is just ok. I do not get all the rays of light in the series. They also use some pretty silly artistic choices.
Sound: Pretty good, the opening is pure bliss and I fan girl whenever I hear it. It’s so beautiful beyond anything else!
Final Score: 4 stars (and kisses)
