Pro: Decent animation, ok opening, clamp character designs

Con: Relies too much on ending and shock factor

Final Thoughts: Well now I feel sick to my stomach thanks to Blood C. You know I should have expected this and it was a bad omen when I had Aunt Flo visit once I started watching this series, but seriously *ugh gross*. Blood C relies too much on shock factor alone to pull it along a very gory and nonsensical path that leads to no conclusion. I'd advise anyone one who wants to feel squeamish watch until the very end to decide if its worth anything. Now if you would excuse me I need to take a shower.

Story: Saya is schoolgirl/shrine maiden by day and badass monster fighter by night. But one has to ask the questions Who What Where and Why is all this stuff happening here? Why are these monsters attacking and eating humans? How Saya is involved or more importantly how are the people around her? Do you like to watch emergencies in the ER?

Characters: Do not bother trying to like them the only one I felt anything for was Saya's "father" and the class president guy with glasses.

Art: Great, but gross. Not one for the squeamish. Clamp character designs look great even in chopped up pieces and covered with red. If it was like the movie quality animation maybe there would be more for me to praise.

Sound: It’s there...I guess behind all the screams, splats, and slices. The opening theme is pretty good and I love the flaking blood sequence. (yes you read right)

Final Score: 1 star (spewing with ketchup and sliced in half)

Recommendations:
