Pro: Great animation, great design, characters are all in tact, neat story elements
Con: If you depise Chibi Usa do not watch, strange conclusion

Final Thoughts: I should prorbably mention that when I do series based movie reviews I base them on the standard of entertaining fans and welcoming a new audience. This movie does mainly the first part I mentioned, but if you watch this movie without knowing anything about Sailor Moon you may take it as a standard magical girl movie. Which in this case, is not all that bad. What I am trying to get at here is that I liked this movie to an extent. Probably because of the nostalgia factor and the fact that am a sucker for the designs of the enviroment and new characters as well as the story idea of kidnapping children to feed a black dream hole. With a series known as Sailor MOON with heroes named VENUS and MARS doesn't it make sense to have a Black Dream Hole? Along with the first movie that took place on an asteroid about to hit earth I love the way the movie embraces the galaxy setting for out heroes. If only the original series took place party in space more often.
Story: It starts out pretty ominous as we listen to children singing a creepy tune about sweets and going out of the beds in trance on to a boat to who knows where? We then cut to the opneing credits which shows our heroines in their innocent childhood years. Then we cut to some classic sailor moon comedy with the gang baking cookies and talking girl talk about how sweets can hold memories. Right here is a great start to our movie. I love the way everything was paced and presented. Much like the first movie it dispalys some of the best of the Sailor Moon francise and why it is so popular. Chibi Usa eventually gets captured no thanks to daddy and its up to the scouts and Sailor Moon to save her. I don't want to say anymore simply because the opening is what carries you through to the very end of the movie.
Characters: All the scouts stay in character with Venus of course being the most enjoyable.

We get some wonderful little tid bits of character interaction, like I said in the baking cookies scene and even between Neptune and Uranus XD. Although one thing I like about this movie is that Sailor Moon does some awesome mommy work even in her "ideal dream" of being alone with Mamoru. I love the supers season because we get more of the confident badass sailor moon as we do here. She still acts clutsy and can be a crybaby at times, but when the going gets tough she woman's up and is ready to take action. Chibi Usa is a pretty big focus of this movie and being the annoying kid brat that she is, some people may be a little annoyed by this movie.
Art and Sound: Pretty standard for movie quality. Like I said the designs are great.
Final Score: 4 stars
