Mini Review
Pro: Music and animation are okay I guess
Con: No fricken development=boring as hell

Final Thoughts: I know what you are all going to say judging from my score....stop it. “How can you not like this anime/manga series that is so so popular?” Well my friends there is no such thing as a perfect anime because of all the conflicting personal interests of others. Basically opinions are like butts, we all have them and they all stink. So listen to my personal shitty opinion on Nisekoi after reading some of the manga and watching some of the anime.
Firstly, I am not "that" found of harem like shows, but there are a few I enjoy like Nyan Koi or The World God only Knows to a certain extent. There are things to appreciate about this old school style of harem in Nisekoi, but personally I'd rather stick with original classics like Ranma 1/2 or even Love Hina. Why? I can't watch a romance series where the guy is consistently stuck between two or more girls that he believes he "Loves" with absolutely no preference in sight.
For an example:
“I love Chitanda, but I still can't get over my childhood crush. Oh who has the key to my lock?”
WHO CARES!!! Even if you did find out you would still be as wishy washy as you are right now.
Another thing to mention is that our main guy character seems like a Rin Okumura copy of sorts or not really that original. The romantic implications are sometimes cute and enjoyable if you watch only the ones of the girl you want him to end up with, otherwise you’ll end up raging to the screen as I did when he is checking out another girl in the next scene.
A guy does not have to know what girl he likes in the beginning and can even have a past love that he can't quite get over, as long as YOU ACTUALLY GIVE AWAY OR HINT THAT HE WILL PROBABLY END UP WITH ONE GIRL!!! The only reason that this show chooses not to do this essential plot point is because it is too busy with trying to appeal to all the shipping’s and canon’s and men who love school days in which the guy ends up with all these girls. It also makes it easier to make the series longer so it can be noticed better=more popular. In the horrible anime of school days the guy can’t decide on which girl to be with and you guessed it SPOILER (Gets killed). I could easily see and ending like this happening in Nisekoi which is NOT a good sign.
The studio is shaft. So this can only lower my opinion I have of the anime. The angles and shots are so out there so only big fans of shaft will probably like it. (Of which I am not) Even despite my own powerful personal bias I was generous enough to give this anime a score of 4 out of ten and 2 stars out of five.
Long story short just because this show is popular that does not mean it is good. If you hate romance stories that don't show or hint any preference to any particular girl you will be just as annoyed as I got with this. Do yourself a favor and watch Ranma ½.
Final Score: 2 stars
MUCH BETTER Recommendations:
Ranma 1/2/Love Hina/My Bride is a Mermaid
