Pro: Heartfelt, Touching, Funny, Romantic
Con: Nothing much, the pros speak for themselves.

Final Thoughts: I get a pleasant feeling whenever I think back to watching/reading this series. It is hard to get into the details why because every person feels something slightly different when they experience it. It is always a good experience and one what they will go back to and reminisce about from time to time. It is quite frankly one of the best shoujo/slice of life fantasies ever put together and will always be labeled as an anime classic.
Story: It follows as well as sets itself up as being one of the best shoujo/slice of life romances to ever be created. Story wise is follows a somewhat episodic format. I was not too happy that they tried to end it at an almost over dramatic moment, but the characters and emotions help pull the watcher through. Not much if any filler exists here. A lot of reviewers for this complain that it may have a lot of filler or unneeded scenes like the school president flipping out or time with Tohru's friends. But they are all so funny and well put together that you do not really care. This series survives the test of time through the emotions of its characters. This story becomes less of a comedy/romance and more like a therapy session where you sit back relax and let the emotions seep through.
Characters: All memorable and likable in their own way. Ayame is a riot.
Animation: This was made way back in 2001 so its no surprise that the animation does not hold up much today. There are a lot of paused taking head shots, but the series does seem to have a distinct color scheme and overall look. The character designs are fantastic and translate pretty well from the manga.
Music: Classic classic classic. It nails every emotion on screen.
Final Score: 5 stars
